    One of seven members of the Simon City Royals gang accused in the kidnapping and beating of a St. Martin woman became the first of the co-conspirators to receive a jail sentence after pleading guilty to kidnapping and conspiracy to commit kidnapping. Thursday, Jackson County Circuit Court Judge Robert Krebs sentenced Christopher Michael Gray, 30, to 22 years in state prison after Gray admitted his role in the July 24 incident in which a 30-year-old woman was taken against her will, held inside a home in the 9300 block of Travis Avenue in the St. Martin community and beaten by the gang members.

Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell said Friday the owner of Dino's Gifts, 26-year-old Luis Diaz, lied about the armed robbery and when he told investigators the woman originally accused was his ex-wife.

    The two suspects wanted in connection with the Saturday robbery and stabbing at a St. Martin gift shop are in custody after U.S. Marshals found them hiding in a wooded area. According to Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell, 23-year-old Erin Elizabeth Diaz and 33-year-old Clinton Buchanan were located and taken into custody in the woods behind the Flying J truck stop on Canal Road in Gulfport around 5:30 Monday afternoon.

Sheriff Mike Ezell said the accident occurred about 10 p.m. Friday when a black Honda Accord, driven by Charles Joseph Forman, also of St. Martin, was eastbound on LeMoyne in the right lane when the car struck 41-year-old Michael Holloway, who was walking in the center of the lane.
