Troopers say 68-year old Henry Harvey Thornton Junior was riding northbound on U.S. 1, approaching Shore Drive in the left lane, around 10:35 a.m. Meanwhile, a 79-year old man from St. Augustine was southbound on U.S. 1 in a pickup truck in the left turn lane, also approaching Shore Drive.
