    A 22-year-old St. Augustine man is in critical condition after being hit by a Mitsubishi Mirage early Sunday morning in St. Johns County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Karon Manning was walking in the eastbound, outside lane of Florida 16 about 2:40 a.m. when the Mirage's driver, 43-year-old Angela Rivera, did not see him in time to take evasive action and struck him in the roadway, troopers said.

The wreck occurred at about 2:40 a.m. when Karon Manning, 22, of St. Augustine, was struck by a Mitsubishi Mirage in the outside eastbound lane of State Road 16, according to a release by the Florida Highway Patrol.
