The money was donated by Soupy for Loopy Foundation , formed in memory of Laura Sypek, who lost her battle with the solid tumor childhood cancer called neuroblastoma in 2006, at age 11. Soupy for Loopy, named after Sypek's nickname of "Loopy," issued the grant in November to New Approaches to Neuroblastoma Therapy.
