    Authorities say an ultralight aircraft crashed while landing at a small airport in western Michigan, injuring the pilot and his passenger. The Ottawa County sheriff's department says 63-year-old Richard Henley was operating the aircraft on Wednesday evening when it veered off the runway at Park Township Airport near Holland and turned over in the grass.

The day-long field trip, guided by naturalist and birder Chip Francke of Spring Lake, was the two-part workshop's grand finale and included stops along the Lake Michigan shoreline, the Pentwater Plains marsh along Longbridge Road, the area around the City of Hart Wastewater Treatment Plant and Gales Pond in Elbridge Township.
