    The club, located at 2801 Lakeshore Dr., had been a non-profit organization owned by its membership, but it became a for-profit company when the 12-member group paid off the club's debt owed to Community Shores Bank. According to the group's attorney Paul Jackson, the ownership group paid "north of $3 million" to the bank to expunge the debt and take control of the club and all of its assets.
