Officers say that Gregory Van Cleve apparently crashed on a slippery wooden part of the Tri-Cities Connector Bike Path in Ferrysburg, just south of the US-31 drawbridge, yet he was able to walk some ways afterward until collapsing.

    Police have identified a critically-injured bicyclist found in a watery ditch Wednesday, and have theorized he had earlier suffered a serious accident while on a bike path. The bicyclist has been identified as Gregory Vancleave, 57, of Spring Lake, who is in critical condition at Mercy Health Muskegon's Hackley Hospital, according to a news release from the Grand Haven Public Safety Department.
