    The Williamson County Board of Commissioners unanimously voted, 24-0, to place the temporary fate of school funding in citizens' hands, specifically through the power to push a button at the ballot box, in favor or not in favor of a .5 percent county sales tax increase from 2.25 percent to 2.75 percent. The county commission approved a countywide referendum Monday night to decide on whether to raise the sales tax to fund school debt over three years with the help of surrounding municipalities.
