    A reward is being offered in connection with two suspicious fires in the Spickard are during the last couple of weeks. A vacant home at Spickard, owned by Michael Washburn, was destroyed by fire late Thursday night while a vacant structure at the edge of town was destroyed by fire on March 16. Both fires are being investigated as suspicious in nature.

    A cash bond of $100 has been posted for a Spickard man who was arrested in Harrison County on a Grundy County warrant. According to the Grundy County Sheriff's Office, Scott Ellison, 24, was arrested for failing to appear in court or pay on a charge of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
