    The Clay County Sheriff's Office conducted an investigation on the morning of February 14th from a burglary that occurred sometime between 6:20am and 4:18pm on Friday, January 20th at 204 W 2nd St. in Everly. Upon investigation, it was found 33-year-old Stefanie Rae Odom and 28-year-old Dustin Tucker were in the residence at 204 W. 2nd St without permission and took property not belonging to them.

    Early Saturday afternoon, Spencer police responded to the accident at the south T intersection. Krystal Hersleff of Spencer was driving a 2004 Mercury Marquis north, at the intersection, while Roger Scott of Spencer was driving a 1970 Chevy C-20 pickup east, approaching the intersection.

    A Clay County Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle and upon investigation, the Deputy smelled an odor of marijuana coming from inside of the vehicle. The passenger, 19-year-old Casey Seversen, admitted to being in possession of marijuana and was placed under arrest.

    The addition has been in the works for about a year, and Superintendent Terry Heeman shares when the open house is He says they have invited board members, along with the Spencer Ambassadors and all Spencer residents to come and enjoy the new facility, and the open house. Heeman said there are just a couple minor items that need to be finished, but they will be done by the open house.
