Revenue enhancement maybe, according to ABC 7 News Reporter Vic Lee here in San Francisco, The City of South San Francisco has voted to " Take Down " Two Cameras on The El Camino Real, their argument is that the devices haven't made a difference in accident reductions. The article which I attached goes on to mention the cameras will stay in place but they won't be active, not too long ago the City of Oakland didn't renew the contract with the vendor whom services their Red Light Camera Enforcement Program as well, and this was at the urging of the Chief of Police, this was after Oakland Mayor Quan was caught running a Red Light, colliding with another vehicle resulting in a rear end damage to their car.
