But laws governing local government will prevent the Board of Education from chipping in the money, such as Belmont did earlier this week, school board members said Friday after emerging from an hour-long closed session with their attorney.  Instead, school board members resorted to a plea of asking the county commissioners to either pay more or for the property owners to drop the price even further to make up for their part of the financing puzzle.
