    Following Tuesday's tumultuous weather that spawned four tornadoes across the region, West Texans awoke to a rain-drenched scene as the chance of precipitation is expected to linger through the early evening on Wednesday. As the result of an approaching upper-level low, storms toward the east of Lubbock became tornadic with four twisters having reportedly touched down near Crosbyton, Spur, Doughtery and Guthrie, according to previous reports and National Weather Service meteorologist Joe Merchant.

Gary Skwira, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Lubbock, said the twisters touched down near Crosbyton, Spur, Dougherty and Guthrie between 2 and 5 p.m. "We're not aware of any significant damage," he said, but the weather service received one report of some sheet metal damage near Guthrie.
