    A Sunset Beach home was destroyed and an adjoining home was heavily damaged during an early morning fire, Tuesday, May 31. Treasure Island firefighters were called to 110 90th Ave. at 12:13 a.m. Four minutes later they found a two-story rental property in flames. Owner John Stambaugh was inside with his dog and could not exit through the staircase, forcing a rescue from the balcony by Treasure Island firefighters.

    A St. Petersburg man suffered serious injuries Thursday night when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a truck at the intersection of Pasadena Avenue South and Gulfport Boulevard in South Pasadena. According to investigators with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Major Accident Investigation Team, Christopher Carevic, 22, was operating his 2007 Yamaha RG motorcycle northbound on Pasadena Avenue South, approaching the intersection of Gulfport Boulevard about 8:15 p.m. April 14. Mark Miklos, 20, of Gulfport was driving his 2011 Toyota Tundra southbound on Pasadena Boulevard South waiting to turn left at Gulfport Boulevard.
