Holcombe, 29, was a candidate for the Zone 4 seat on the Ormond Beach City Commission until his conviction in August which disqualified him from holding office.  Circuit Judge James Clayton sentenced Holcombe to 10 years in prison concurrent on two charges: racketeering and conspiracy to commit racketeering.

    A South Daytona man was sentenced on Monday to 30 years in prison for the death of his girlfriend's 4-year-old child. Joe McCaskell, 37, was found guilty of third-degree felony murder and aggravated child abuse in the death of Ke'Andre Coleman in South Daytona.  McCaskell was originally charged with first-degree felony murder and prosecutors were planning to seek the death penalty if he had been convicted of that charge.

    SOUTH DAYTONA - Nearly $1 million dollars worth of high-end drills were being stolen and hocked on eBay and detectives traced the entire operation to a single strip mall pawn shop. Accused mastermind Richard Hill was arrested, as were his two teams of suspected accomplices, who Sheriff Mike Chitwood referred to as hired "boosters" - front-line thieves who stealthily removed the DeWALT drills from local hardware stores and brought them to Hill to be sold online, he said.
