    Seven men, including a former Elks Youth Camp counselor and a barber who claimed he just wanted to see what an undercover sex sting was like, were arrested after they showed up expecting sex with a child and instead found handcuffs and Volusia County Sheriff's Office deputies, investigators said. Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood announced the arrests during a media conference Monday and he was joined my members of the agency's Child Exploitation Unit, as well as Daytona Beach Police Chief Craig Capri.

    A South Daytona man was sentenced on Monday to 30 years in prison for the death of his girlfriend's 4-year-old child. Joe McCaskell, 37, was found guilty of third-degree felony murder and aggravated child abuse in the death of Ke'Andre Coleman in South Daytona.  McCaskell was originally charged with first-degree felony murder and prosecutors were planning to seek the death penalty if he had been convicted of that charge.

Accused mastermind Richard Hill was arrested, as were his two teams of suspected accomplices, who Sheriff Mike Chitwood referred to as hired "boosters" - front-line thieves who stealthily removed the DeWALT drills from local hardware stores and brought them to Hill to be sold online, he said.
