    A JP Marine boom truck rolled over with the boom fully extended on the CCIA Road in South Bristol Nov. 20. "Owner/operator Jeff Poole was using the boom to bring a floating dock to shore when the ground just gave way," said Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy Ken Hatch. A boom truck rolled over on its side after the ground gave way beneath it on CCIA Road in South Bristol Nov. 20. The JP Marine truck's owner/ operator Jeff Poole, of South Bristol, was using the extended boom on the truck to lift a floating dock out of the water when the ground just gave way, according to Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy Ken Hatch.

    By Michelle Switzer A Nov. 5 fuel leak from a diesel generator into Poorhouse Cove in South Bristol has been cleaned up and contained as of Thursday, Nov. 13. "The absorbent boom that was placed in the water the night of the initial fuel leak has been removed, and a much smaller containment area has been established," Maine Department of Environmental Protection spokesman Karl Wilkins said. The fuel leak occurred in the return line of a diesel generator at a 100 Texas Rd. residence after an early November snowstorm caused widespread power outages across Lincoln County.
