    SOQUEL >> An early look at next year's Santa Cruz City Schools $72 million budget on Wednesday night reflected for the first time new revenue from November's voter-approved Measure O parcel tax, estimated to bring in an extra $2.4 million in its first year. In the first draft of the budget, the new tax funds are slated for secondary school spending, tentatively for such items as athletic director salaries, staffing stipends for athletics, music, theater and co-curricular activities, a tech support position and theater, athletic and music equipment and supplies.
