    A 13-year-old Soquel boy who lost his sister and mother in a car crash near Aromas in November is on the path to recovery, his friends and family said this week. Jake Tindel, an eighth-grader at New Brighton Middle School, was in the back seat of a Saturn four-door that slid into a Volvo on Highway 129 near Old Chittenden Road on Nov. 30. Tindel was returning home from his grandmother's house with his mother, 40-year-old Season Tindel, and sister, 17-year-old Kaila Tindel.
