    The Sonora High School Board of Trustees approved a resolution to set up an advisory committee to evaluate the potential sale of the Sonora Dome and a portion of Wildcat Ranch Tuesday night, and was met with a flurry of public commentary advocating for the historical and educational legacies of the properties. Ty Wivell, a 1950 Sonora High School graduate and a member of an advisory group who selected the Wildcat Ranch site as a replacement for a former agricultural site purchased by the Sonora Mine in the 1980s, praised the both sites as significant historical monuments of the city.
