    Update at 2 p.m.: Motorists along Highway 108/120 in the Oakdale area may find themselves being detoured through Knights Ferry due to a vegetation fire near Kennedy Road. CHP blocked the eastbound side of the highway at Lancaster Road for fire response to the incident, which was called in sometime after 1:30 p.m. CAL Fire spokesperson Lindy Shoff says there were two small fires, about a quarter-acre each in size that are now contained.

    CAL Fire reports a shed is on fire on the 20300 block of Johnny Avenue near Nikki Court an area that is flanked by Jamestown and Racetrack roads. There is no word as to whether the flames have spread to vegetation but this is in the same area a vegetation fire that broke out in the 3 pm.

    County officials are answering numerous public inquiries being made about ways to provide support and/or supplies to help those displaced by the Detwiler Fire. For starters, Tuolumne County Deputy Administrator and OES Coordinator Tracie Riggs, whose office is working closely with Red Cross officials, suggests that supplies covering basic needs are probably the most welcome overall.

Plainsburg in Planada and the Groveland Community Hall on Highway 120 in Groveland.

    A Tuolumne County man was booked into jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, vandalism, robbery and obstruction. Sgt. Tim Wertz with Sonora Police Department reports that 28-year-old Travis Ray Scrivner walked into the Lowe's on Old Wards Ferry Road yesterday morning and reportedly "became violent, damaging merchandise and was throwing items at customers."
