    On Thursday morning, 57-year-old Lindon Hill was arrested following the raid by Tuolumne County Sheriff's Deputies, narcotics team and probation officers at the Tamarron Mobile Home Park on Mono Way in Sonora. Investigators discovered methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and indicators of drug sales, such as a pay-owe sheet and several small plastic baggies.

    Emergency personnel tried to revive a Sonora woman after she went under the water while on an inner tube in the Stanislaus River south of the Knights Ferry Bridge. Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District officials report the woman was flown to Oak Valley Hospital in Oakdale were she was pronounced dead.

    CHP officials say an allegedly intoxicated driver was arrested for DUI following a two-vehicle crash on Highway 4 that sent him and two others to hospitals. The CHP San Andreas Unit reports that 29-year-old James G. Spratt of Avery, driving a Ford Mustang during the early hours Saturday, was headed west on Highway 4 east of Howard Court at a high rate of speed when made an unsafe turn that caused him to hit a right shoulder embankment and then spin back into the path of an eastbound Honda Civic, driven by 33-year-old Daniel Horsey of San Mateo.
