    The City of Boston Credit Union announced today it's dropping out of the St. Patrick's Day parade because of the exclusion of OutVets: City of Boston Credit Union is extremely saddened by the decision of the South Boston Allied War Veterans Council to deny the OUTVETS organization a place in this year's South Boston St. Patrick's Day Parade. The Credit Union was prepared to sponsor and participate in this year's parade, however, with the unveiling of the Council's vote this week to exclude this group of veterans the Credit Union is no longer considering sponsorship or participation.

The hearing was just one of a lengthy list of hearings yesterday by restaurant and hotel owners seeking one of the five "unrestricted" licenses the board has to give out.

    An Arlington man was arrested last night on charges he carjacked a car in Charlestown, then robbed somebody in Somerville. Boston Police report a Charlestown resident had just started his car in the parking lot of the Santander Bank on Rutherford Avenue around 8:30 p.m. when Jonathan Daniell, 28, opened the driver's side door and yelled "Get out! I need your car!" The driver got out, because Daniell had his hand under his hoodie, crooked to make it look like he had a gun, police say And then: The suspect drove away at a high rate of speed, nearly causing an accident as he pulled out into traffic.

    WCVB reports a State Police cruiser stolen from a state lot on D Street South Boston this morning showed up, abandoned, around 12:45 p.m. at Twin City Plaza in Somerville. On the Arlington List, a Facebook group for residents of that town, one resident reported an odd occurrence around noon: A few minutes ago, a state police cruiser stopped asked me where is Davis Square, or Somerville, or Cambridge, while I was watering our garden near Park Circle.
