She got her start by winning a talent show in high school and used that tiny success to motivate and start playing shows around town and then eventually following the music scene to Anchorage, where she has since recorded an EP with Evan Phillips of the Whipsaws and plays shows fairly regularly around the Anchorage music scene.

All ten people aboard the Rediske Air, Inc., plane were killed in the crash and, while no official cause of the crash has been released, the National Transporation and Safety Board has released several hundred pages of documentation on their investigation of the incident.
