    Three people were taken to the hospital after a crash on U.S. Highway 36 late Friday afternoon. A 2004 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Thomas R. Boxum, 42, Lebanon, was crossing the highway from O Road approximately a half mile west of Smith Center, when it was struck by a 2005 Ford Taurus driven by Ray Hunter, 39, Kensington, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol report.
