    A Lubbock County grand jury indicted this week a 35-year-old Slaton man arrested in May in connection with an April fatal hit-and-run collision involving a suspected vehicle thief. Slaton police arrested Hill on May 4, 10 days after he reportedly struck with his vehicle Vance Hill, no relation, who was crossing in the 1200 block of Ninth Street in Slaton, according to police officials.

This arrest is in connection with the April 26 hit-and-run resulting in the death of 43-year-old Slaton resident Vance Lamar Hill.
