The Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office responded to a rash of thefts on Sunday, Oct. 19, including an armed robbery of Gators General Store on Highway 49 in Skipwith that took place Sunday night around 7:15 p.m. According to the report filed by Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Deputy Tyler Duncan, a slender white male, approximately 5'6" or 5'7" tall and wearing olive green colored coveralls and a black beanie, entered the store brandishing a firearm and demanding money.
