    An interior sprinkler system and a fast response by members of six different fire departments helped keep in check a blaze that occurred Saturday at about 7:40 p.m., in a building on the 400 block of First Avenue in the borough, and avoided any public exposure of "various chemicals" stored there, the Royerford Fire Department reported on its website . Responders from Royersford, Spring City, and Trappe initially turned out on an alarm for the reported fire, but when crews arrived and confirmed smoke coming from the structure the Linfield, Limerick, and Skippack companies, as well as Friendship emergency medical services, also came in.

"Seat belts are the first line of defense in the event of a motor vehicle crash and buckling up is the number one thing drivers and passengers can do to keep themselves safe in a car," according to Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Patrol Director Major James B. Basinger. Pennsylvania law requires drivers and passengers younger than age 18 to buckle up when riding in a vehicle.
