    Sherman Village Board of Trustees learned at their regular meeting Wednesday, Aug 2, that the village boundaries are slightly incorrect. After a resident of Sherman made a query about the village boundaries, the Chautauqua County Clerk's office conducted an investigation and learned the village was actually slightly smaller than it was thought to be, said Village Clerk Jeannette Ramm.

    Village of Sherman trustees agreed at their meeting on Feb. 1 to repair and use their current sidewalk plow for another year in lieu of using available USDA loan funds to purchase a new one. Department of Streets Supervisor Doug Crane reminded the board that the village still has $53,500 in USDA funds available, which would be in the form of a $10,000 grant and a $43,500 low interest loan.

Sherman Science teacher Mrs. Traci Thompson told the board that the GLOBE program is linked to NASA and scientists will use data gathered by students to help them with their studies.
