    Eight years ago, Jake Bresette started surfing Lake Michigan, but because he lived in Madison, he had to drive an hour or more to Sheboygan, Racine and Milwaukee for the big waves. One of Bresette's favorite places to surf is Atwater Beach, so he and his wife, Alaina who is also a surfer decided to move and open a business in Shorewood.

The new facility mimics the style of west-coast taprooms with an open-concept layout and industrial feel.

    Two of the greatest Badgers basketball players have been honored as the namesakes of a pair of actual badgers at a local Madison zoo. The Henry Vilas Zoo announced Wednesday that its two badger brothers will be named after former hoops stars Sam Dekker and Frank Kaminsky.
