The visiting Tigers led from start to finish in the 16-run decision, which improved the squad's record to 6-5.

    An 8-0 second-inning lead appeared to be a positive sign for the Seymour varsity softball team in a two-day stretch that saw the Tigers taking on solid squads from Conway and Morrisville, respectively, in road action. Unfortunately, the Tigers' 8-0 early lead at Conway disintegrated in a heartbreaking 10-9 loss last Thursday, then Seymour traveled to Marion C. Early of Morrisville on Friday and fell 5-3 to the host Panthers.

Tiger head coach Jason Duey said Brady Brooke pitched the finest game of his Seymour career Friday, cruising through 6-2/3 innings, giving up no hits and no runs while striking out nine.
