    Doctor Teresa Tottenham Sievers an internist who was also an expert in Eastern and Holistic Medicine was found dead in her home in Bonita Springs, Florida on June 29. She had been bludgeoned to death with a hammer. One of two men held in the case, 47-year-old Curtis "Wayne" Wright, has just been charged with one count of second-degree murder.

    News 8 received a Report It video of the big bird out for a stroll on North Main Street just before 9 a.m. Several onlookers expressed their surprise and amusement as the emu ignored them while walking on the pavement past some parked cars. Woodbridge police say four emus got loose from a small farm on Seymour Road and Rock Hill Road Tuesday evening, where they are kept as pets.

    Route 8 northbound was closed between exits 22 and 23 after a two vehicle crash was reported just before 6 a.m. Cleared: Motor Vehicle Accident - SEYMOUR S8N at Exit 22 at 11/2/2015 7:31:34 AM State police say there were minor injuries in the crash. The cause of the accident is unknown at this time.

    Seymour officers responded to the skate park at the local Community Center after they received a report of a woman trying to lure kids to her vehicle. Officers arrived on scene Tuesday and located Johnson in a vehicle with a juvenile female.

    Police arrested 33-year-old Alan Gombos of Seymour and charged him with second-degree kidnapping, first-degree unlawful restraint, first-degree strangulation, sexual abuse of a spouse, and second-degree assault. According to police, a neighbor called 911 just after midnight on Saturday saying there was a disturbance across the street where a woman was possible being taken against her will.
