    Sen. Mark Begich has asked Gov. Sean Parnell to assist in resolving the work stoppage at Usibelli Coal's dock operations at the Seward Coal Loading Facility. The facility has ceased operations since the 9th Circuit Court ruled the facility may be in violation of the Clean Water Act.

The last time we checked in on the Alaska-Japan mural story, seven artists from Seward had traveled to their sister city, Obihiro on Hokkaido, and created a 32-foot mural for the town with the help of artists on that side of the Pacific Ocean.
