    The public is invited to participate in a welcoming patriotic parade on June 22, held to honor visiting Marines from Camp Lejeune, N.C., as well as a group from the Marine Corps' South Carolina Wounded Warrior Regiment. Individuals and businesses are asked to help line the parade route with signs, flag-waving, and expressions of thanks as the motorcade moves from Easley to downtown Seneca, and on to Lake Keowee.

The Anderson Campus collected gifts for the Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home and the Easley Campus collected gifts for the Pickens County Department of Social Services.

    The Oconee County Humane Society will hold a Male Cat Neuterathon on Jan. 24 at the Fox Nest Veterinary Hospital, 10445 Clemson Boulevard in Seneca. With the goal of preventing hundreds of cat litters next year, 75 male cats will receive neuter surgery and a rabies vaccination in one day.

    The Oconee County Sheriff's Office needs the public's help to locate a Pickens man wanted on three outstanding arrest warrants. Joseph Coy Kilby, 28, whose address on warrants is listed as 161 Swiss Entrance, is wanted on charges of second degree burglary, petit larceny, and possession of implements capable of being used in a crime.
