Owens Jr. of Jody Drive was driving west on Highlands Highway toward Mountain Rest when his vehicle ran under a large tree that had fallen across the roadway during Sunday night's storms, Addis said.

    Two males and one female have been arrested on drugs and weapons charges in the Upstate, according to the Oconee County Sheriff's Office. According to the report, 25-year-old Clarence Curtis Hendrix, Jr., 27-year-old Vontria Beatrice Walker and 29-year-old Undre Bias Randolph were booked into the Oconee County Detention Center Wednesday evening after receiving a call about fighting and shots being fired in the 100 block of Davis Mill Park Road in Seneca.
