The sheriff's office said they were assisted by the police departments in Salem, Seneca, Walhalla, Westminster and West Union in addition to the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources in the drug roundup that took place across the county.

    Deputies with the Oconee County Sheriff's Office are investigating an early Sunday morning shooting at a bar that claimed one man's life and may have sent others to the hospital. Deputies and officers with the Seneca Police Department were called to Sonny's Bar and Grill near on Wells Highway after a fight was reported around 12:30 a.m. Before deputies arrived at the scene, they learned from dispatchers that multiple gunshots had been fired and that callers at the location reported multiple people had been injured, according to a news release.
