    The Moody Blues, the 1960s and '70s fathers of progressive rock, last year undertook a 50th anniversary tour of its landmark album "Days of Future Passed" that played 30 American cities, including at Sands Bethlehem Event Center in July. It recently released a box-set live album of the tour recorded in Toronto with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and is releasing a DVD for Christmas.

    When The Black Crowes disbanded in 2015 after a long history of disputes, it was understandable that guitarist Rich Robinson would play mostly the band's songs with his spinoff group The Magpie Salute, which includes most of the former Black Crowes members, including Marc Ford, Sven Pipien and Eddie Harsch. But singer/frontman Chris Robinson, who amid the Crowes tenure put out five solo or side-project discs, became the one who took a flight of fancy with his new band, indulging his penchant for jam band and psychedelic sounds.
