The Eastmont Wildcats finished with a four-player team score of 386, defeating defending champion Wenatchee by a mere two strokes to win the Cats' first district girls' golf championship since 2007.

Redmon Memorial Bridge near Selah on Interstate 82 that officials hope people will use instead of committing suicide by jumping off the bridge, The Yakima Herald-Republic reported.
