    A rollover crash on a highway north of Sedro-Woolley injured two men from Whatcom County early Saturday, July 9. Andrey Grigorievich Kapustin, 24, of Maple Falls, had been driving a white Ford F-150 pickup north on State Route 9, when the truck went straight instead of curving with the road around 2 a.m., according to the Washington State Patrol. The Ford crossed the center line and crashed into a ditch on the southbound side of the highway by Barrett Road, on the outskirts of Sedro-Woolley.

    A semi truck crash near Diablo Lake damaged a bridge Friday night, June 10, cutting off the road for hours in eastern Whatcom County. Jaskamal S. Purewal, 26, had been driving west on Highway 20 when he lost control of his '06 Volvo tractor in a downhill curve around 8:45 p.m. The semi, and a flatbed loaded with plywood, careened and rolled at the bridge by the popular Colonial Creek campground, according to the Washington State Patrol.
