    The following is a sampling of cases that were resolved Feb. 21 during Law Day in the Pettis County Circuit Court. Stephen E. Lindsey Jr., 42, of Sedalia, was sentenced to concurrent terms of eight, six and four years in the Department of Corrections after pleading guilty on three separate matters - possession of a controlled substance , second degree burglary and resisting arrest.

    A Sedalia man sustained moderate injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 6:20 p.m. Tuesday in Pettis County. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Brandon D. Franklin, 32, was driving a motorcycle north on state Route 127 at Main Street Road when he failed to negotiate a curve, causing his vehicle to travel off the right side of the road.

    A California, Missouri, woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 4:38 a.m. Wednesday in Moniteau County. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, William B. Mittenburg, 51, of Sedalia, was driving a semi-truck west on U.S. Highway 50, as he attempted to turn onto the highway from state Route E. An eastbound vehicle driven by Royetta L. Moore, 57, struck the towed unit of Mittenburg's vehicle in the eastbound lanes.
