The Crosley Hotshot was an extremely competitive sports car in its day, taking victory in the first Sam Collier Memorial Endurance Race, held in Sebring, Florida, in 1950. Looking to broaden the car's appeal, Crosley built a deluxe version that became known as the Crosley Super Sports, equipped with such amenities as a folding roof, a larger rear window, a deluxe interior and, in some cases, a "flying bird" hood ornament.
