    Kevin Johnson, photo archivist for the Penobscot Marine Museum in Searsport, will present an illustrated talk titled Exploring the Photography Archives of the Penobscot Marine Museum Thursday, March 12, at 6 p.m. in the Friends Community Room of Rockland Public Library, 80 Union St. Penobscot Marine Museum has the largest photography archives in the state, made up of dozens of collections and consists of more than 140,000 photographic images spanning the 1880s to the recent past. Johnson's slide show and talk will look at the various collections, with a special focus on Rockland.

It seems mistakes or omissions from the past have encouraged town officials in Searsport and Prospect to consider what is in place currently to regulate development and ensure those guidelines are in tune with officials' and residents' vision of each town's immediate future.
