    UBS reportedly inked a 10-year lease for 120,000 square feet of space in the Royal Bank of Scotland building at 600 Washington Blvd., in Stamford, according to the Wall Street Journal , a tight squeeze against its most recent employment figures locally -- if a welcome commitment for a company that had been feared last fall to be abandoning Stamford outright. UBS will fill out multiple floors no longer needed by RBS, which as first reported by Hearst Connecticut Media in February reported a local workforce of 1,600 people as of July; and has since disclosed job cuts totaling 125 positions in Stamford to state regulators.
