The Govs finished sixth, one shot behind Bethune-Cookman for a top-five finish in the William & Mary-hosted event at the Club at Savannah Harbor, with a trio of newcomers leading the way.

    Austin Peay State University has learned that Mike Carn, a NCAA Championship golfer and APSU Athletics Hall of Fame member, has passed away at the age of 66. A four-year standout on the course, Carn was team "Most Valuable Player" each season and earned three top-10 finishes in Ohio Valley Conference Tournament Championship competition. The Savannah, GA, native was a three-time choice for the Tennessee Intercollegiate All-State Golf team, and he appeared in the 1973 NCAA Championship as a junior.
