    We're hearing from Chatham County Commissioner Al Scott after a WTOC investigation uncovered that Southside Fire Department does not receive a dime from Chatham County for fire protection services in the unincorporated portion of the county. Regardless of whether residents pay a fire fee or subscribe to fire services, state officials say fire protection is also included in a premium tax that your insurance company pays to the state of Georgia.
