The incident happened around 1:30 p.m. on Auriga Blvd. Dwane Gilchrist, 54, was hunting at the Roebling Road Hunting Club directly behind a residence when he claims the dogs were menacing him.

McGirts was a passenger in a blue 1992 Honda Accord that stopped suddenly in the path of a 2013 Toyota Rav 4 driven by a 28-year-old woman.

    Savannah-Chatham Metro Police have identified a man who was struck by a vehicle Saturday night in downtown Savannah. Major Accident Investigation Team officers say Rob Westall, 30, was transported to Memorial University Medical Center in critical condition after walking into the path of a 2009 Chevrolet Suburban being driven westbound on West Bay near East Lathrop streets around 11 p.m. Officials say Westall was crossing Bay Street outside of the crosswalk at the time he was struck.
