    The state Education Department is looking to take action against the dental license of Gilberto Nunez, the Kingston dentist found not guilty this summer of second-degree murder but guilty of possessing forged CIA credentials. The state Education Department's Office of Processional Discipline has asked for records from the Ulster County Clerk's Office proving Nunez, 49, was convicted of felony charges in order to begin discipline against him, according to correspondence from Deborah Sansone, a supervising investigator for the state disciplinary office.

    SAUGERTIES A Saugerties woman was arrested Friday on a felony marijuana possession charge after, authorities said, a shipping company suspected drugs in a package bound for a house in the Village of Saugerties, an examination confirmed marijuana, and authorities arrested the woman shortly after the package was delivered. Members of the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team said that a private parcel carrier in Plattekill contacted them Friday morning, saying they had a package at their facility which they suspected contained drugs.

    A Napanoch man has been charged with grand larceny after the Ulster County Sheriff's Office said he tried to use a woman's credit card to bail himself out of the Ulster County Jail last month. The sheriff's office said Dustin T. Carmichael, 28, was being held at the jail June 7 on an unrelated Village of Ellenville charge when jail officials received an electronic notification that a woman had placed a credit card transaction for $3,255 to bail Carmichael out of jail.
