The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports that officials hope the wet winter and cooler water temperature will eliminate concerns about blue-green algae, but in case that isn't enough Sonoma County officials have developed plans to monitor the water and guidelines for how to treat it should an algae outbreak occur.
