Jerry Brown signed into a law an overtime bill that would level the playing field between farm work and other industries. Today, farmworkers in California were required to work at least 10 hours per day, or 60 hours per week, in order to qualify for overtime pay, as opposed to the 40 hours per week that workers in other industries must work.
