The Central Basin Municipal Water District board Monday approved the contract with Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County that calls for a 50 percent increase in price to be phased in over the next five years.

Gregory Lynn Cross, who was on supervised release following his most recent conviction for bank robbery, is suspected of starting a new spree in December.
