Sector Los Angeles-Long Beach was notified at around 6:30 p.m. that a 20-year-old crew member had a leg injury aboard the USS Spruance, a Navy Arleigh Burke-class destroyer. A MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Coast Guard Forward Operating Base Mugu was dispatched to transport the injured man to a hospital, according to a Coast Guard news release.
