    A San Marcos man was arrested Thursday after he allegedly threatened to bomb the Hays County Jail during a phone call to the Hays County Sheriff's Office 911 dispatch center. Chance Bandy, 35, of San Marcos, was arrested for terroristic threat, which is a Class B misdemeanor.

Hays County Judge Bert Cobb announced at the end of Tuesday's Commissioner's Court meeting he had been "diagnosed with a lethal disease," later identified as Leukemia, and that he would begin treatment as soon as next week.

    Traffic changes are coming to several ramps along the Interstate 35 corridor between San Marcos and Kyle as work crews begin the ramp reversal process, according to Texas Department of Transportation officials. The work will take place during the overnight hours from 9 a.m. to 5 a.m. starting Monday and concluding Friday, June 23. According to a TxDOT press release, crews on Monday will open the new northbound Yarrington Road exit 210 ramp located 1.6 miles south of Yarrington Road.
